Its CRESAR and CPE Season for Brokers!!

March 27, 2011 marks the very first real estate examination for realestate brokers to be conducted by PRC (Professional Regulatory Commission)since the implementation of RA 9646 last July 1, 2010  or better known as the RESA law. This will bethe first and last examination wherein any four-year-course graduate and thosewith 144 units in college will be considered to take the Real Estate Brokersexamination. So those who have been practicing real estate profession withoutlicense frantically enrolled and grabbed seats to any available CRESAR(Comprehensive Real Estate Seminar and Review) paying from P15,000 to P20,000to complete the 120 –hour required under the new RESA law.

Therewas even some confusion on the 120 hour requirement because PRBRES issued amemo which states that they will consider developer’s certification for 60 houras on-the-job training for those currently employed by developers. So there aregroups or organization offering only 60 hours CRESAR. But for the serious oneswho want to pass the Board examination and are not employed by developers wouldrather go for the 120 hours seminar and review. One of -the seminar providerswho offered 120  full lecture hours isthe PAREB –Rizal Board who is currently half-way with the seminar.

Forthe brokers who were already licensed by DTI and will register with PRC withoutexamination, a minimum of 15 hrs CPE is required. Other will need more depending on their last date of license. PAREB-RBR will conductanother CPE session on Jan 28-29, 2011 from 9am-6 pm  at Valle Verde Country Club, Pasig City. Formore details and information, email this blogger at gigibonquin@gmail.com or send SMS to09209063768. Topics to be discussed include RESA Law, REIT, Real Estate Taxation, Basic E-Marketing for Brokers, among other relevant topics. Limited slots only. Hurry! PRBRES is currently processingthe third batch of registrant real estate professionals. Oath-taking for thesecond batch will be on Feb. 10.
